Jackets gifted to BMC Volunteers by Cotswold Outdoor
Cotswold Outdoor, the BMC's Official Outdoor Retailer, has generously gifted 80 jackets to support the invaluable work that BMC volunteers undertake and increase their visibility within the outdoor community.
These jackets will ensure that the BMC Access Reps, who work hard to maintain and protect climbing and walking areas across the UK, and our Hill Walking Reps who will be leading local area walks across England and Wales, can be easily identified when on duty.
BMC Access Officer for England Jon Fullwood said "I’d like to say a big thanks Cotswold Outdoor for this generous donation. Having these jackets will really help set the tone when meeting with land owners, reflecting the importance of the role our reps do maintaining access to the places we love."
Additionally, four Local Hill Walking Reps, leading a pilot scheme of BMC community walks in each of the 10 BMC local areas across England and Wales, will also be equipped with these jackets.
BMC Hill Walking Coordinator Josh Harris, said "We are delighted to brand up our BMC Hill Walking leaders with kit so as leaders within the BMC's hill walking community. As the BMC local area walks project expands, the plan is to launch more and more local area walks through England and Wales."
