Whether climbing or coaching indoors, on the crags, or in the Alps our workshops cover a range of themes that will broaden your knowledge and improve your coaching.
This autumn’s series of workshops are being delivered in line with the coronavirus regulations for England and Wales. Climbing wall specific guidance has also been published by the Association of British Climbing walls which the BMC contributed to.
In planning the workshops, the BMC has worked closely with each venue and our provider team. Participants have a central role to play in minimising infection risk, this includes:
-
Not attending your workshop if displaying Covid-19 symptoms.
-
Visiting the website of the climbing wall where your workshop is hosted to be aware of their Covid-19 operating procedures. Different walls have different requirements.
-
Arrive ready to climb, bringing minimal personal belongings. You may not be able to use changing facilities as before.
-
Clean hands regularly during the workshop. Hand sanitising stations will be available at each wall. Consider bringing your own hand sanitising gel too.
-
Bring enough water for the day. Water fountains may have been turned off and some walls are unable to refill your water bottle.
-
Bring your own belay device as climbing equipment should not be shared.
-
For those not exempt from doing so, to wear a face covering in non-climbing areas and when entering and leaving a climbing wall.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our autumn workshops.
