SOCIAL WALKS
Lakes Area Walks
BMC members are invited to join a social hike with local BMC volunteer Nicola Merrett (Hiking Highs). This social walk will be a 12km circular route starting from Glenridding. We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable day in the outdoors!
London Area Walks
This social walk will head to the south side of the South Downs and the escarpment on the North side.
Yorkshire Walks
This social walk will visit highlights of the Yorkshire Dales, including Hoffman Kiln, Stainforth, Catrigg Force waterfall, Winskill Stones, Attermere Scar and the dramatic Victoria Cave

Come to our next gathering of South West climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC. Area Meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally

The Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Big Clean Up returns this Thursday 31 July to Saturday 2 August after a hugely successful event last year with 2,765 items of single-use plastic pollution removed from Wales’ highest mountain by BMC volunteers.

This weekend the BMC’s Big Clean Up on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) saw 50 volunteers and eight professional mountaineers hiking and abseiling respectively to collect and survey over 4,000 items of plastic pollution from Wales’ highest mountain.

On 12th October, join other BMC members to help National Trust with conservation work on one of the Peak District’s high moor tops, in the vicinity of Kinder Scout, Bleaklow or the Upper Derwent Valley.
