Join the BMC for a challenge walk to complete a circuit of the Worcestershire Malverns including over 1000 metres of ascent over 8.5 miles. That’s equivalent to climbing up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)!

REGISTER FOR THE WALK

This hike includes some steep slopes giving sensational views across the English countryside, with the Welsh mountains and hills up to 90 miles away visible on a clear day. The geology of these hills will be pointed out along the way, as well discovering famous wells, and interesting plants. We’ll be looking at navigation, pacing and timing techniques, as well as how to tackle different slopes with supporting techniques you might try.

Aspects of Hill and Moorland walk leading may be raised and discussed according to the interests of those taking part. This may include peer discussion about the flora and fauna; motivational and group management strategies. The walk is divided into two parts; there is a bus back to the car park from our first break point, or a walk through the town, so you will be able to choose whether to complete the whole circuit or end after part one.
