REGISTER FOR THE WALK

A circular walk starting from Bowden Bridge car park, the meeting place for the Kinder Mass Trespass. From here, we will walk to the site of the old train station, then on to Lantern Pike (one for the Ethel baggers). Hear the history and legend of Robin Hoods Picking Rods then on to Harry Hut trig point, visit a plane crash site on the way to Mill Hill, then down William clough were we discover more on the mass trespass. Finally we learn the back story to Kinder Reservoir, before heading back to the carpark.

This social walk is hosted by the BMC in partnership with LDWA.The LDWA is an association of people with the common interest of walking long distances in rural, mountainous or moorland areas. They have 40 local groups that organise social walks & challenge events. This group is the High Peak, who try to organise two social walks (16-20 miles) each month, predominately in the Peak District.
