Come join us for Christmas festivities with the Mountain Accordion Man (Carmine De Grandis) and support Climbers Against Cancer!

REGISTER FOR THE WALK

This social winter walk will take us up one of Yorkshire’s iconic three peaks, following an out and back route to the summit of Pen-y-Ghent.

Five years ago, Mountain Accordion Man started a festive tradition of taking his accordion to the summits of well-known hills before Christmas, singing carols and spreading joy through the great outdoors. Join us to continue this tradition, celebrate the festive season and enjoy a day in the hills with fellow walkers.

This is a fundraising event, with all donations going to Climbers Against Cancer, a charity that raises funds for cancer research and supports projects aimed at improving the lives of people living with cancer.

Come ready to sing, bring a hot drink and, if you wish, something to share with the group. You are also welcome to join us at a local pub after the walk to round off a festive day in the hills. If you play an instrument, you are welcome to bring it along and join in at the summit,.

We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable day in the outdoors!

BMC President, Dominic Oughton, says: What better way to start the festive season than a walk up one of the country's most iconic peaks. Add in the company (and accompaniment) of ultra-running accordion-playing CAC Ambassador Carmine De Grandis, and a few summit carols, and you've got the perfect winter warmer. See you there!
