Rivington Social Walk | 30th April
Join us on a social hike to explore the paths and history around Rivington Reservoir.
You are invited to join a peer-led walk, hosted by BMC North West volunteer, Nick Howard. Starting at the café next to Go Ape at Rivington we will make our way to the great barn, from there make our way to Lower House. Following paths to Belmont road then to Will Narr, we will take the path over Sam Pasture and the Simms to Lead Mine Clough, before returning back to the café and starting point for a well-earned brew. We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable day in the outdoors!
Nick has been Hill Walking for over 30 years both in the UK and in Europe and is a qualified walk leader through Mountain Training. He is also qualified in first aid and mental health first aid. Nick volunteers for a charity that runs free wellness walks and organises walks once a month, which he has been doing for over two years. Nick is also the northwest volunteer for the mountain training association and organises peer days for its members as well as hosting walks for the BMC. Nick can often be found out in the hills with his dog Sheba, who also loves getting out into the great outdoors.
