Celebrate the BMC Big Walking Weekend by taking to the high ground in Eryri for a classic Carneddau Skywalk - a big mountain day linking summit after summit with minimal loss of height.

REGISTER FOR THE WALK

Starting from the Ogwen Valley, we’ll ascend via Afon Llugwy and a short scrambly section up to Pen Yr Ole Wen’s summit. With views across Ogwen and Eryri our skywalk begins… six major 900-1000m peaks over a mile distance with no significant loss of height.

In addition to Pen Yr Ole Wen, this classic route will take us across to Carnedd Fach, Carnedd Dafydd, Ysgolion Duon, and the highest point of the day Carnedd Llewelyn, before crossing Bwlch Eryl Farchog and climbing our final summit Pen yr Helgi Du. A steady descent brings us back to the A5, completing our full Carneddau mountain circuit. This is a true high-level traverse - once we gain the Carneddau ridge, although never technical, it’s continuous, committing mountain terrain and big mountain views all the way; a fitting Eryri tribute to support the BMC’s Big Walking Weekend.

We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable day in the outdoors!
