England Climbing Trials | 6 & 7 December

The England Climbing Trials are the key selection event for the England Climbing Foundation and Development Programmes. Aimed at young athletes in the U13 and U15 age categories, the Trials offer a great opportunity to test their skills, grow through competition, and take part in a fun and supportive environment designed to encourage their long-term development in the sport.
Taking place at 270 Climbing Park (Bentham Ln, Gloucester GL3 4UD) on the 6 & 7 December 2025, the England Climbing Trials is open to athletes' who are resident in England & Wales who would like to be considered for selection to the England Climbing Team programmes in 2026. All competitors must be a current member of the BMC to enter.

Fee
£36 per discipline, please ensure to complete registration for the disciplines you would like to compete in. If you would like to compete in both disciplines, please register for both.

Format
Lead (U15) Top Rope (U13): 2 routes flash format (with demo videos)
Boulder: 5 boulders, flash format (with demo videos), 4 mins climbing time, 4:15 mins rest time.
No finals.

Exceptional Circumstances

The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) can today announce the 18 athletes who will represent the GB Climbing team at the 2024 IFSC Youth World Championships in Guiyang, China. The event is scheduled to take place from Thursday 22 August to Sunday 1 September at the Guizhou Bureau of Sports.
