What does a BMC Climbing Wall Rep do?

The Area Club Rep role is to support BMC-affiliated clubs and facilitate club development within their BMC Local Area. They also sit on the clubs committee, where they discuss matters relating to and of interest to clubs. The clubs committee facilitates the sharing of information between clubs and facilitates communication and consultation by the BMC with affiliated clubs on all matters relating to clubs.

Key tasks and responsibilities of the role

  • Building relationships with local clubs in their area
  • Advising clubs on meeting their development goals and linking them with the support they need
  • Facilitating links and information sharing between clubs
  • Connecting clubs with opportunities to involve themselves with local and national initiatives
  • Gathering club thoughts & opinions, and identifying club needs to influence BMC Strategy
  • Acting as a visible point of contact and representative for clubs in their area
