The British Mountaineering Council warmly invites all volunteers - new, experienced, or simply curious - to join us for BMC Basecamp, a celebration of community, learning, and outdoor adventure.
Join us for a weekend of fun and community at Thornbridge Outdoors!
Whether you're a seasoned BMC volunteer or thinking about getting involved with the BMC, this event is for you.
Connect with like-minded individuals, explore the outdoors, share experiences, and learn new skills.
By day, take part in shared adventures, grow your skills, and connect with others. In the evenings, gather around for films, fireside chats, and talks that spark new ideas. Let's come together to celebrate our shared passion for making a difference.
We'll also be hosting the BMC Volunteer Awards on Saturday evening.
The BMC Awards acknowledge the hard work and commitment that goes into making our community great. Whether it’s a dedicated volunteer, an innovative club lead, an exceptional athlete, or a ground-breaking initiative, we shine a spotlight on those who elevate hill walking, climbing and mountaineering in the UK.
Tickets & Packages:
Overnight stay: Camping and accommodation from £35 (includes Saturday's dinner)
Day Visitor: Free (ticket required)
Saturday night meal (Awards dinner): Optional £8 ticket
