BMC Basecamp: 8–10 August 2025

The BMC warmly invites you to Basecamp Festival – whether you’re a long-time legend, newly involved, or just curious about volunteering and what the BMC does – come and join us at BMC Basecamp, a weekend of shared journeys, inspiration, and unforgettable experiences in the great outdoors.

Step into adventure, connection, and celebration at Thornbridge Outdoors!
This isn’t just another weekend – it’s a chance to walk, climb, laugh, learn, and connect with people who share your passion for the mountains, crags, and community. By day, head outside for walking and climbing adventures. Dive into skills sessions, share knowledge, and explore what volunteering can offer – or just soak it all in.
By night, gather for fireside chats, thought-provoking talks, and film screenings that stir the soul.
On Saturday evening, join us in celebrating the heroes of our community at the BMC Volunteer Awards – where we shine a light on the people and projects making a real difference in the world of hill walking, climbing, and mountaineering.
Whether you're here to explore, to give back, to connect, or simply to enjoy – Basecamp is your space.
Let’s celebrate what brings us together. Let’s grow what we love. Let’s meet at Basecamp.
