British Speed Climbing Championships Series
The world of competitive climbing is reaching new heights with the return of the electrifying British Speed Climbing Series 2026. The series is a collaboration between the BMC and Mountaineering Scotland, with two categories, Senior (16+) and Junior (U19, U17, U15).

Round 1: 11 April, Oldham
Round 2: 14 June, Via Climb Scotland
Round 3: 27 June, 270
Round 4: 15 August, Warwick

Speed events will be organised with 2 rounds as follow:
Qualification
Final
In the qualification round, each competitor is scheduled to make one attempt on each lane in Random Offset order.
The quota for the final round will be determined from the number of competitors who have completed qualification with a valid result:
- for 4-7 competitors, the quota will be 4.
- for 8-15 competitors, the quota will be 8.
- for 16 or more competitors, the quota will be 16.
If the quota for the final round is exceeded because of ties, an additional race or series of runs will be held to separate the tied competitors.
The final round for a Speed 2 event will be organised as a single elimination tournament where the winner of each heat advances to the next stage of the tournament.
In the semi-final stage, the losers of each heat will advance to race for 3rd and 4th place (the small final) and the winners will advance to race for 1st and 2nd place (the big final).
If you cancel your entry to the competition - you will not be entitled to a refund.
If the competition is cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstance - you will be entitled to a full refund.
