1. Check access

Before you visit, check the latest access information and follow any temporary or seasonal restrictions.

2. Park responsibly

Park considerately, avoid blocking gates, tracks, driveways, and access for emergency or farm vehicles.

3. Stick to paths

Use established paths to reduce erosion and always leave gates as you find them.

4. Climb safely

Climbing involves inherent risks. Check your equipment, assess fixed anchors where appropriate, and respect other climbers.

6. Respect wildlife

Follow seasonal restrictions, avoid disturbing nesting birds, livestock and protected habitats.

Keep dogs under close control, prevent disturbance, and always clean up after them.

7. Leave a positive trace

Take any trash home, use toilets where available, and dispose of waste responsibly.

8. Protect the crag

Avoid damaging rock, vegetation or trees and use chalk sparingly.

9. Support local communities

Respect residents and help local businesses by using nearby cafés, shops, campsites and accommodation.

10. Share the outdoors

Be welcoming, considerate and courteous so everyone can enjoy the crags.
