BMC Technical Officer Dan on UKC

Posted by Tina Gardner on 07/08/2010
Dan's your man when it comes to gear

BMC Technical Officer Dan Middleton was live on the UKC Forums on Monday 9 August answering questions on all things gear related.

Dan's expertise covers safety related mountaineering equipment. Along with the volunteers of the BMC Technical Committee, it's Dan's job to give advice on the use and care of safety equipment and also to investivate equipment failures.

Dan has been climbing for many years and prior to his role at the BMC he worked in outdoor retail and also at Lyon Equipment, the distributor for Petzl, La Sportiva and several other brands.

Dan was available to answer questions on the UKC Forums in this Forum Thread between the hours of 9 and 5. You are of course welcome to ask Dan questions outside of those times, and he'll do his best to respond either on the forum or via email.

This is the latest in a series of BMC Live! Q&A sessions on UKC.  Last time, it was BMC CEO Dave Turnbull who took to the hot seat.
