Cotswold Outdoor British Bouldering Championships 2022

Get cracking! We're excited to announce the return of the Cotswold Outdoor British Bouldering Championships when it takes centre stage on Devonshire Green, Sheffield, on 27 & 28 August. Here's how to sign up.

As part of The Outdoor City's Cliffhanger festival, 60 men and 60 women will battle it out to be crowned Cotswold Outdoor British Bouldering Champion 2022!

Spectating is free and entries open on 1 August at 8am

How to enter:

If you'd like to take part then please note the following:

Entrants must be born 2006 or earlier
Entries open Monday 1 August at 8am
Entries close Monday 22 August at 12pm (Midday)
Maximum of 60 competitors per category (Men & Women)
You must be a BMC member to enter

Provisional Timetable:

Saturday 27 August

Males and females in single groups. Starting order for qualification will be derived from the 2021 BBC rankings and then at random (if you did not compete last year) and will be posted online ahead of the event.

START LISTS

8am- Access to the warm up zone opens- athletes are required to be at the warm up zone 30 minutes prior to their allotted start time

1130: Male & Female qualification begins – 5 blocs – 5min on, 5 min off

1700: Male & Female qualification finishes

Sunday 28 August

0900: Isolation for semi-finalists opens

1000: Isolation for semi-finalists closes

1030: Semi Final begins – 4 blocs – 5 min on, 5 min off

1245: Semi Final Finishes

1515: Isolation opens

1615: Isolation closes

1720: Presentation of finalists and observation period

1730: Final begins - 4 blocs, 4mins

1930: Final finishes

1945: Prize giving
