In order to improve and further develop this work and give greater support to the full-time officers, a new group has been established to advise the BMC on climbing conservation issues.

The limestone cliffs of the North Wales Coast have become extremely popular sports climbing venues in the last few years. But many of these cliffs are designated conservation sites, partially due to the prescence of the nationally scarce Wild Cabbage, which can easily be inadvertently damaged by climbing .

Craig Bwlch y Moch Descent Paths

A quick reminder to climbers at Bwlch y Moch that walking descent from the top of the cliff is only by way of the two recognised descent gullies, and not to cross the fence at the top or use the grounds of the neighbouring land owners.
