Young writers: your chance to be a Boardman Tasker winner

Are you a budding mountain writer aged 16 - 25? Submit your entry for the Boardman Tasker Young Writer Prize by the end of the month to be in with a chance of winning £250 and publication of your article in Summit magazine.

This award is for writers aged 16-25 and was launched as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of The Boardman Tasker Prize  for Mountain Literature in 2012.

The aim is to encourage young writers to produce outstanding literary works of 1500 words which have a central theme which is inspired by the mountain environment.

The prize of £250 and publication in Summit magazine is supported by the BMC.

Get writing fast! The closing date for entries is 31 August 2014 and the winner will be announced at the annual Boardman Tasker Prize ceremony held at the Kendal Mountain Festival in November.
