Atlanta Braves slugger Matt Olson (29) hit his 51st home run of the season, tying the franchise record for most home runs in a season by an Atlanta player.
Olson hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth inning of the visiting Philadelphia Phillies' 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S., on Wednesday (July 13), batting fourth and starting at first base.
It tied him with Andrew Jones, who hit 51 home runs in 2005.
Olson leads the league in home runs this season with a dominant long ball. In the National League, he leads Pete Alonso (New York Mets - 44) by seven.
He also has a significant lead over the American League leader, Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Angels - 44).
