Would you like to stride out into the hills and mountains with confidence this winter? We've adapted our popular #MakeWinterCount lecture tour into one big online winter hill skills evening on Thursday 3 December.

Have you discovered a love of the outdoors during lockdown? This event is brilliant for anyone who wants to learn more about winter hill and mountain skills. You'll go from bumbling about to striding with confidence to the summit after you've gained all the knowledge from our experts Sam Leary and Mick Jones.

Event content

The evening will cover everything the new winter adventurer could possibly need including:

  • What to wear
  • Planning your day
  • Reading the weather
  • Packing a rucksack
  • Boots, crampons & axes
  • Avalanche awareness

No travel, no faff - gain all you need to know and be entertained from the comfort of your own home.

When?

Thursday 3 December 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Zoom

Tickets on sale now

Tickets cost £4.99 for BMC members and £9.99 for non-members.
