The first round of the Junior Boulder Cup 2015 took place on Sunday 7 December 2014 with almost 200 competitors taking part. The GB Junior Boulder Team management met straight after to select the team that will represent GB for the 2015 season.

The last competition of 2014 was held at the Climbing Unit, Derby. It was a fantastic event with talent from all over the country showing themselves for the biggest national event of the year outside the Youth Climbing Series.

Full results from the event can be found here.

Tom Greenall - Junior Bouldering Team manager said - "This is the biggest boulder comp. turnout we have had this ever! It's fantastic to have such a big talent pool to select from. Next year should be a great year for the team with talent in depth in all the categories."

The BMC have changed the timings and schedule for the 2015 Junior Boulder Cup and Junior Bouldering Championships - for full details on this click here.

As a result the way the GB Junior Bouldering Team will be selected in the future has also changed - the team will now be selected in the summer after the last round of the Junior Boulder Cup/Junior Bouldering Championships.

Please read the following document from the team management for full details on how this will work.

The BMC would also like to thank all the volunteers involved in runing this event, without whom the championships simply would not be possible. We would also like to thank the event hosts the Climbing Unit, and the event sponsors - DMM, Mammut, Five Finger Thing, and Entre-Prises.

See some the GB team in action in the summer below, the results from this event were used as part of the team selection.
