The Glen Brittle Memorial Hut is superbly located on the edge of the Cuillin on the island of Skye. This makes it a great location for those wishing to walk or climb in this inspiring mountain playground.
Jointly owned by the BMC and Mountaineering Scotland, the hut is administered by a management trust which reports to both councils. Probably uniquely, the hut is also a War Memorial having been built to commemorate those mountaineers who lost their lives in service during wartime.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Glen Brittle Memorial Hut will be closed from March 20th 2020. This closure will be reviewed at the end of April and thereafter on a monthly basis.
The hut is open all year round and is wardened from April - October, and can be booked by Individual and Club members of the BMC and Mountaineering Scotland.
The hut has spaces for 18 persons, and includes a kitchen, showers and drying room.
