The rocks and hills surrounding Blaenau Ffestiniog carry a striking presence, dramatic cliffs, slate tips and ridgelines steeped in history and adventure. Once quarried to roof the world, the Moelwynion now echo with the sound of climbers, walkers, and a growing community of outdoor lovers discovering its magic. Hongian Ffest is your invitation to be part of it.

Now celebrating its 10th year, Hongian is a community-led, not-for-profit weekend of trad climbing, bouldering, hillwalking and outdoor workshops, rooted in the culture and spirit of this extraordinary corner of Eryri. Whether you're a seasoned climber or brand new to the outdoors, there's something for everyone from skill-building sessions to social gatherings, all set among the majestic Moelwyns.
