Through their support, Associates are investing in the wide-ranging work that the BMC undertakes for climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers in England and Wales. Work like improving access to the countryside, protecting upland habitats and wildlife, promoting mountain safety, good practice and equipment standards, encouraging newcomers and young people within the sport - and much more.

Climbing walls

Arethusa Climbing Wall

Awesome Walls Climbing Centres Ltd operate four of the largest indoor climbing facilities in the UK (Liverpool, Stockport, Stoke-on-Trent & Sheffield) and two in Ireland (Dublin & Cork).

We pride ourselves on providing excellent facilities for climbers of all abilities. Apart from our frequently set climbing walls we offer, lectures, boot and equipment demos, group facilities and corporate packages. All our centres have dedicated customer care managers who will deal promptly with any enquiry given. Each Awesome Wall has it's own Facebook page where details of new routes, competitions and all the latest notes are posted. Ideas, comments or suggestions are always welcome to keep Awesome Walls Awesome!

Brookes Climb. Oxfordshire's premier climbing wall. Open to students and staff and the local community.
Weekdays 6.30am to 11pm and weekends 9am-10pm.  Casual climbing costs from £6.00 to £8.00

A large climbing centre in the north of England offering 21m high leading, 16m high top roping and over 200 boulder problems.

The UK's largest dedicated indoor climbing centre.  The Castle houses over 100 roped lines up to 12.5m high; a dedicated auto belay room and 11 bouldering areas including an outdoor boulder field and a 100ft abseil tower.

Adult courses from novice to advance level, kids clubs and taster sessions available to all.

Organic/Fair-trade Café and a dedicated climbing shop on-site.

The Trust is a residential activity centre providing adventurous outdoor activities for disabled and disadvantaged young people.

YHA Edale is a 157 bed residential activity centre that delivers a wide range of activities to clients from the age of 8 upwards, including National Governing Body training and assessment courses,  NNAS, as well as multi activity programmes designed specifically for the client.

Icicle is a world leader in providing inspirational mountain adventures, to climb, trek, ski & run. Our trips range from mountaineering summits such as Mont Blanc, Elbrus, or the Matterhorn, to off piste skiing and ski touring, to trekking Tour Mont Blanc or Kilimanjaro, to trail running in the Alps or weekends in the UK. We also have a specialist retail kit shop in the Lake District (BMC members get a 10% discount). We aim is to give you the best advice and the best possible holiday, and exceed your expectations. 
 

Outdoor clubs

The Army Mountaineering Association embraces the wide range of mountaineering activities, including: Use of climbing walls; sport climbing; hill-walking; rock climbing and ice climbing; summer; winter; and alpine mountaineering; ski mountaineering and ski touring; polar exploration; and expeditions to the greater ranges; including high altitude and exploratory mountaineering.  The Association fulfills the remit of its constitution by offering members developmental opportunities through various meets and expeditions, whilst also supporting individual members in achieving their own aspirations by giving grants to individuals.  Membership is open to serving officers and soldiers of the Regular Army Reserve Forces and Army Cadets.  Membership can be continued after retirement.
  BBRCC
BBRCC is a club to bring together people interested in enjoying the outdoors, walking/climbing/cycling etc. and offers members accomodation at their two hostels.
 
Fire
Fire Sport UK
The Walking & Mountaineering Section promotes such activities within the UK Fire Service and offers such challenge events to the wider Community to encourage participation and enjoyment of the gtreat outdoors.
Every weekend OutdoorLads runs a range of sociable outdoor activities all over the UK such as hiking, climbing, camping, biking, canoeing, sailing and skiing. All over the country people with different ages and backgrounds are joining OutdoorLads – the group has over 19,500 members and is growing.
 
We are a multi activity outdoor club including climbing, caving cycling, walking and kayaking.
