The BMC needs your help in completing a short survey about Welsh island seabirds - it will only take 3 minutes of your time to help our feathered friends.
Freelance naturalist, learning consultant and peregrine researcher Ed Drewitt says, “A chorus of guillemots rising from windswept cliffs, the graceful glide of a fulmar and the shearwater burrows that come alive at night – Wales’ seabird islands pulsate with life, yet these precious offshore sanctuaries face a silent threat: invasive predators like rats.
“To keep these islands safe, we need your voice! Share your thoughts in a quick survey (3 minutes) about biosecurity measures on these island sanctuaries. By sharing your opinions and knowledge, you'll play a crucial role in shaping how we protect these majestic birds.
“We are keen for this survey to completed by as many climbers across the UK as we can, whether you have or haven’t been to a Welsh island. If you haven’t this will still give us a useful insight as to what people know about biosecurity.”

Er mwyn cadw'r ynysoedd hyn yn ddiogel, mae angen eich llais arnom! Rhannwch eich meddyliau mewn arolwg cyflym (3 munud) am fesurau bioddiogelwch ar y gwarchodfeydd ynys hyn. Drwy rannu eich barn a'ch gwybodaeth, byddwch yn chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth lunio sut rydym yn diogelu'r adar mawreddog yma.
"Rydym yn awyddus i'r arolwg hwn gael ei gwblhau gan gynifer o ddringwyr ledled y DU ag y gallwn, p'un a ydych chi wedi ymweld ag ynys Gymreig neu heb fod. Os nad ydych chi wedi, bydd hyn yn dal i roi cipolwg defnyddiol i ni ar yr hyn y mae pobl yn ei wybod am bioddiogelwch."
