BMC Land Management Group (LMG)

Posted by on 15/11/2006

The BMC have established a Land Management Group (LMG) to oversee the BMC's owned and managed crags and advise on potential new acquisitions.

The BMC own Craig y Longridge, Wilton 1, Horseshoe Quarry, Aldery Cliff, Stone Farm Rocks, Harrison's Rocks and Craig Bwlch y Moch (Tremadoc), and have management arrangments at Wilton 2,3 and 4, Upper Pen Trwyn and Pant Ifan.

The group was established to take a professional approach towards our land ownership obligations and to review the BMC's policies for owning and managing land. Local site management groups report to the LMG and use the group's collective expertise as a 'think tank' for ideas and technical guidance.

Group Membership
Bill Renshaw (Chair)
Henry Folkard (Peak access coordinator and Horseshoe Quarry)
Elfyn Jones (ex-National Trust property manager, BMC Welsh A&C Officer)
Bob Moulton (Harrison's Rocks Management Group)
David Turnbull (BMC CEO),
Martin Wragg (solicitor)
Rob Dyer (LMG Secretary and Access & Conservation Officer).
