The premier climbing competition in Wales is back and it's heading to the Beacon Climbing Centre in Caernarfon! Open to both adult and youth climbers, competitors will rope up and take to the wall to compete for the title of best climber in Wales! This event is open to senior competitiors as well as the junior categories down to Youth E

0830 – Registration
0900 – Registration closes
0930 – Qualifiers start – Q2 will start straight after Q1 ends as long as 50min rest period for 1st climber on Q2 has elapsed.
13.30 – Qualifiers finish
15.30 – Isolation opens
16.00 – Isolation closes
16.30 – Finals observation
16.45 – Finals
18.30 – Award ceremony

This is a lead climbing event for all categories except Youth D & E, who will be top-roping. There will be two qualifying routes and a final.
Categories
Competitors will compete in the international competition climbing categories for 2019, according to the year in which they were born. These are as follows:
Veterans: those born 1975 or earlier
Seniors: those born in 1975- 2001
Youth A: those born in 2002 & 2003
Youth B: those born in 2004 & 2005
Youth C: those born in 2006 & 2007
Youth D: those born in 2008 & 2009
Youth E: those born in 2010 & 2011
Event vests will not be provided.
Cost of entry
Entry to the event costs:
£20 for BMC, MS or MI members, £25 for non-members in categories Youth A,B,C,D,E
£30 for BMC, MS or MI members, £35 for non-members in categories, Senior and Veteran
Entry deadline
The deadline for entries is 5pm Monday 4 February.
• Please complete and submit online entry form by the deadlines stated above.
• Only online applications will be accepted. No on the day entries will be accepted.
• Parental consent must be given for any competitor aged under 18 years on the day of the event.
• All applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of their application. They will then receive a further e-mail containing full event information after entries close on 4 February.
Please note that emails do not always reach their destination, it is therefore your responsibility to contact the BMC if email notification has not been received by Friday before each event.
