The BMC and The Scottish Dry-Tooling Club are proud to announce that we will be hosting the third round of the UIAA Ice Climbing European Cup in Glasgow on Saturday 18th February 2023. And the great news is, you can get tickets to spectate.

The UIAA Ice climbing World Tour comes to Great Britain. This is the first ever UIAA competition in the UK and the Scottish Dry Tooling Club are proud to be hosting the event at their home wall, The Glasgow Climbing Centre.

We are expecting some of the world's top ice climbers to be attending the event from federations all across Europe and others further afield. Qualifications will be held during the day with spectators welcome to drop in and see some of the action. The grand finals will be held in the evening with tickets available for spectators.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the Scottish climbing community to come and take part, watch and be inspired by world class athletes competing on their doorstep. The BMC and Scottish Dry Tooling Club have worked tirelessly to make this event an awesome experience for everyone involved, from athletes to spectators. It's sure to be one not to miss!

Spectator Tickets

This promises to be one of Climbing’s most electric international events of the year so don't hesitate to grab a spectator ticket and come and get involved in the action.

Capacity is limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Live Streaming will be available for the Finals of the competition via the UIAA YouTube Channel.

Cost of entry

Athletes registered before 12/02 | £40
Athletes registered after 12/02 | £45

As this is a European Cup, athletes do not need a UIAA license or to be national team members to compete. Athletes can register themselves on the UIAA registration system – if you have competed before (this includes the British Ice climbing Championships).

If athletes have not competed before and are not already registered with the system then please complete this form and then you will be sent an invite to register with the system.
