Silver for Shauna in Med Open

Junior Team competes in the med

Rising star Shauna Coxsey came joint second in the Mediterranean Open in Aix en Provence last month, as the Junior Team got off to a good start to the season of international competitions.

Sixteen young climbers represented Great Britain - 13 junior team and aspirant team members plus three others (as it was an open comp).

Jonathan Stocking came third in his group.  Junior Team Coach Ian Dunn said: "All those competing posted good results."

Molly wins GB’s first female IFSC Lead medal

Molly Thompson-Smith won the bronze medal in the IFSC Lead World Cup in Kranj, Slovenia, the first time a GB woman has ever finished on the podium in such a competition. BMC ambassador Shauna Coxsey also competed in the final, earning enough points to finish third in the Combined Rankings and win another bronze medal for the GB Climbing Team.
