Posted by Tony Ryan on 28/04/2009

Merseyside-based Gwydyr Mountain Club has a new website.

Gwydyr Mountain Club was formed in 1967. Club activities include mountain walking, scrambling, rock climbing and snow and ice climbing when available. A meets programme is compiled annually from members’ suggestions and covers the main hill and mountain areas of the UK and Ireland. The programme comprises of a mixture of day, weekend and longer visits all using private transport and involving booking self-catering accommodation or camping. Also there are the regular meets based at the club hut in Capel Curig and there are trips to the Alps and further afield.

If you want more information about joining the club then you can contact Allan McDonald, the membership secretary, via the website.. Alternatively you can meet club members from about 9.30pm any Tuesday at The Stork pub in Birkenhead.
