Athletes are ranked based on the Combined Points Score.
Field Factor Analysis is used over the course of the season to determine the ranking for each competition.
The initial field factor is based on the initial ranking attained at the GB National Development Squad Selection Event (GBNDS SE), as this is the first time all athletes will compete against each other in the same category for the 2019 season.
This determines the field factor for the first competition of the season ie Welsh Climbing Championship (WCC)
The field factor analysis then takes into account subsequent competitions over the duration of the season to account for all competitions, all athletes and all rankings ie. GBNDS SE + WCC determines Field Factor for OY Boulder and so on.
GBNDS Selection Event Points – points awarded for the ranked place at the GBNDS Selection Event. These points ARE NOT included in any other points total for the 2019 season.
Season Points – the sum of points from all competitions entered in the 2019 season.
Boulder Points – the sum of points from the best 2 boulder competition results in the 2019 season.
Lead Points – the sum of points from the best 3 lead competition results in the 2019 season.
Combined Points – the sum of points from the best 2 boulder and the best 2 lead competition results in the 2019 season.
