What information does the BMC have about climbing for people with disabilities?
The excellent publication Climbing For All: Disability Awareness in Rock Climbing is available in the shop (listed under Technical and Instruction). 
Are there any grants available to young people?
Yes.  The Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust offers funding for disadvantaged young people who wish to participate in expeditions or on courses aimed at personal development rather than professional qualifications.
Does the BMC offer a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check?
The BMC is able to carry out enhanced disclosure (DBS) checks on behalf of BMC members, BMC Associate Members, BMC Volunteers and BMC paid staff who have direct involvement with under 18's and vulnerable adults. Are there courses where young people can learn skills?
There are a number of organisations that offer instructional courses for young people.  Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre, offer a range of courses specifically designed for young people. 
What's happened to BRYCS?
BRYCS (British Regional Youth Climbing Series) has been renamed. It's now the BMC Youth Climbing Series.
