The Defence Estate Access website now includes a section on climbing on Ministry of Defence (MOD) land.

The BMC and the Defence Estate have been working in partnership for a number of years to improve access to climbing areas on MOD land.  A section dedicated to climbing has now been launched on their Access and Recreation website with a direct link to our own Regional Access Database.  The website also outlines other access opportunities on MOD land such as walking and horse riding.

Arrangements for access to climbing crags on MOD land vary from site to site but the BMC and the Defence Estate are continuing to ensure the procedure is as easy as possible and climbing opportunities are maximised.   Later this year, it is hoped that a Green Climbing Guide on the Defence Estate will be published.
