The British Junior Bouldering Championships and the final round of the Junior Boulder Cup took place at the Bloc climbing centre in Bristol on Saturday 27 June 2015.

The high temperatures inside the Bloc did not seem to sap any energy out of the competitors as it seemed to do from the spectators and organisers and there was some fantastic displays of bouldering on display.

The usual groups of young strong climbers made it through to the final along with some unheard of names that will give the GB team management some pause for thought. The exception being the Youth C girls were an incredibly strong field of 9 girls had flashed everything in the qualifiers meaning they all qualified for the final tied for first place, exceeding the standard final quota by 3!

The finals were fantastic with some determined performances in what were approaching sauna conditions on the Bloc fantastic competition wall. Stand out performances came from Molly Thompson-Smith latching the final hold of her problem 2 in a two handed full body leap and Silvia B who fell off her last problem, caught the hold below her on the way past, reloaded and calmly finished it off with style!

This event was both the British Bouldering Championships (the winners on the day) and the 3rd round of the BMC/MCofS Junior Boulder Cup and overall winners of the series were crowned as well.
