Boardman Tasker prize

The shortlist for the 2005 Boardman Tasker Prize has been announced. The prize commemorates the lives of Peter Boardman and Joe Tasker, and is given to the author of an original work which has made an outstanding contribution to mountain literature.

And the nominations are; Andy Cave - Learning to Breathe Mick Fowler - On Thin Ice Jim Perrin - The Villain: the Life of Don Whillans Richard Sale - Broad Peak Anne Sauvy - Mountain Rescue Chamonix - Mont Blanc The winner will be announced on Friday 7 October Visit the website for more details. Pete Boardman was BMC National Officer from 1974 to 1978. The books by Andy Cave, Mick Fowler and Jim Perrin are available to purchase from the BMC website, as is the Boardman Tasker Omnibus.
