The BMC/McofS Paraclimbing series wound up at the weekend with a fantastic turnout at Manchester Climbing Centre to see the final round winners and series winners crowned.
The event was also twinned with the BMC's National Council to give the National council members a chance to see what paraclimbing was all about - it would be safe to say they were impressed!
Ian Dunn set some of the hardest routes of the series and the length of some of the routes running to the full height of Manchester Climbing centre put some of the competitors fitness to the test.
The stand our competitors of the day were Gwyn Roberts in the visually impaired category who was the only climber to top the final route up the main overhang of Manchester Climbing Centre, and Isabella Walsh who styled her way up the arm amputees categories final route.
Special note should also go to Matthew Phillips who is an arm amputee who managed to be the only climber to achieve a perfect score in all four rounds of the series i.e. he did not fall off once!
The series winners can seen below - to gain a series ranking the competitors had to compete in at least two of the rounds.
Full results with individual round scores can be seen here.
