The final round of the BMC/Climb Scotland Paraclimbing 2016 series took place at Newcastle Climbing Centre on the 10 December. This years series has seen a great increase in numbers of competitors and the last round was no exception culminating in a fantastic final.

With some fierce competition over the four rounds of the series which saw 60 competitors and over 150 event entries showing significant increases on previous years which is fantastic for the development of paraclimbing.

There were some great routes set at Newcastle Climbing centre to test all of the categories and 9 out of the 13 categories had enough competitors to achieve overall series results - which can be seen below:-

After the event finished the GB Paraclimbing team management met to select a GB Paraclimbing Team for 2017 who would represent GB Climbing at international para events next season. The new team members can be seen below:-
