The Junior British Climbing Team has jetted off to China for the UIAA Climbing World Youth Championships.
The squad of fourteen comprises; Natalie Berry Tom Bolger Liam Desroy Jeff Landman Tyler Landman Robert Mackenzie Beth Monks Tony Musselbrook Tom Newman Jemma Powell Cal Reedie Ben West Katy Whittaker Joe Wilson Adult supervision comes in the form of Tony Powell, Jill Whittaker and Andy Long. Also keeping an eye on them will be BMC Climbing Walls and Competitions Officer Graeme Alderson, who is acting as the ICC Delegate for the event.
The competition, which includes difficulty and speed categories in three age groups, takes place from 25 to 28 August, and over 30 countries will be represented. The trip will also include opportunities to learn about Chinese culture and history, with planned visits to
