Jasmin Paris breaks all the records of the Montane Spine Race

Just 10 days ago, Jasmin Paris became the first woman to win the Spine Race, and also smashed the winter record for the route by around 12 hours. This non-stop, unsupported trail ultramarathon is one of the world's toughest. Even more impressively, Jasmin was having to express milk at checkpoints. Sarah Stirling asks her a few questions about the race; also about running while pregnant and as a mother.

Nathan Phillips climbs Gecko assis 8B+

Nathan Phillips, reigning British Bouldering Champion and member of the GB Climbing Team, has just climbed Gecko assis, a classic 8B+ boulder in Rocher de Boligny, Fontainebleau. It's his second of the grade and, amazingly, Nathan reckons it wasn't even at his limit.

Introducing Connor Herson, youngest person to free the Nose, and Dad Jim

Yosemite climbing has come a long way since 1958, when the first ascent of the Nose was established over 47 days of aid-climbing. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the first free ascent of the Nose – achieved by Lynn Hill in ’93 (“It goes, boys!”) – and a new record has just been set. Connor Herson has, at 15, become the youngest person to free-climb the route. According to his Dad, “Most importantly, no days of school were missed in the sending of this route!” Connor climbed it over three days starting on November 17.
