BMC objects to proposed zipwire development at Thirlmere

A Planning Application has recently been submitted for a zipwire which could impact greatly on the landscape character and tranquillity of Thirlmere in the Lake District. The BMC is asking its members to write to the planning authority opposing these plans. Deadline for submissions is 2nd January 2018.

The mammoth project of re-equipping the routes on BMC land at Horseshoe Quarry has just finished. With a huge number of bolts replaced, loose rock removed and funds raised by you lovely lot, we’ve hopefully improved the experience for visitors to this ever popular sport crag.
