Tremadog - Bwlch Y Moch Update

Parking and Access Updates -

Please Scroll Down for the English

Yn dilyn yr haf mae'r perchnogion yn Hadfer wedi penderfynu cau'r Caffi am y tro.

Bydd y maes parcio yn dal ar agor o 8am tan 8pm a hoffai'r BMC barhau i annog dringwyr i ddefnyddio hwn ac osgoi parcio ar hyd y ffordd.

Hoffem wneud hynny annog unrhyw wersylla dros nos i chwilio am feysydd gwersylla lleol a chefnogi busnesau lleol lle gallant.

Yn anffodus does dim toiledau ar gael erbyn hyn felly bydd yr agosaf nawr yn y pentref ei hun.

Following the summer the owners at Hadfer have decide to close the Cafe for the time being,

The car park will still be open from 8am till 8pm and the BMC would like to continue to encourage climbers to use this and avoid parking along the road.

Overnight parking isn't tolerated at Bwlch Y Moch and this has been one of the main issues with overnight stays using the woodland below the crag as a bathroom, this endangers the bio-diversity and simply makes the location less appealing, we would like to encourage any over night camping to seek out local campsites and support local businesses where they can.

There is now unfortunately no available toilets so the closest will now be in the village itself.

RAD is community led and your comments help keep it up to date so don’t be afraid to add any relevant information after a crag visit which might be useful for other visitors – anything from conditions on the crag, favourite routes or reports of rockfall/other recent changes to the crag are all useful for other climbers visiting.

Tremadog Rockfall: Big changes

The classic VS climbs, Shadrach and the Brothers at Craig Bwlch y Moch are sadly no more. As previously reported, some very loose dangerous blocks were identified on these routes. After a thorough inspection, the BMC had no option but to commission a professional rock-engineering company to remove the blocks. Further works remain to be done and the area remains unstable - keep clear until the works are completed!
