Excellent Gabbro crags that should be easier to find with the new 2013 guidebook! Best on afternoons and summer evenings.

Restrictions apply from 1 March - 1 August.

Reason: Nesting Birds

There is a nest site at Mur Cenhinen. Please do not climb the following routes until 1st August; 'Sunset Rib' to 'Regan' inclusive. This is the extreme right hand side of the main cliff and the left side of the seaward cliff.

There is a Ravens' nests adjacent  'Binary Fission' (Craig Hebog), please avoid this route 1st March to 1st July and minimise disturbance in these areas.

CRoW Information

The whole of the climbing area is Open Access land.

Group Advice

Various sections of St. Davids Head (South and West facing crags) are OK for groups. Please take care to minimise erosion and damage to plants - some of which are extremely rare.

Area information

Less frequented than the south, there are some very popular cliffs along the southern bays of St David's, but also some very remote and atmospheric cliffs further north. Wildlife is abundant and the abscence of a formal restriction does not mean that protected birds are not present - so climbers are asked to be observant and avoid routes if the prescence of climbers is obviously causing disturbance to the birds. Many of the bays are also important seal breeding areas - if breeding seals are present then again please avoid.
