Duke's Quarry

Southern Gritstone

Fine-grained grit quarry, with some very good routes. Unfortunaly very shady and prone to wetness. Some routes are dirty and overgrown. The best routes are however worth seeking out and re-cleaning when dry conditions prevail.

The quarry is owned by the Chatsworth Estate and managed by the Crich Carr Community Group for its wildlife interests. The crag has some classic routes but is overgrown and can remain damp for much of the year.
