Worbarrow Tout

Swanage

Worbarrow Tout is the rocky promontory topped with grass, which protrudes from the eastern corner of Worbarrow Bay. Mud and vegetation appear to predominate and the area of overlapping slabs on the northern side of the promontory, whilst reminiscent of the Culm Coast, is of too low an angle to offer any challenge. The climbs, however, are all on the southern face, a 400m long cliff ranging from a few metres to 35 metres plus scrambling. The routes at the western end of the Tout finish on top of a clean rocky ridge, whereas those on the central and eastern end finish up steep vegetation with no known stakes for belays.

Gad End cliff is the impressive white wall with prominent  diagoal cracks acroos it, guarded by a large cave accessable at low tide.
