Climbers have been challenged in the past and, if asked to, leave have politely done so. However, the farmer has become further annoyed due to climbers not following the proper approach and even throwing pads and climbing over the wall in order to save what is probably a couple of minutes walk. Due to this he suggested that climbers should not enter the fields in future though some have done so recently and have not been challenged. The boulders are on private land and there is no agreement that climbing is allowed here. Livestock is often in the field so no dogs .
Parking and Approach
Park in the layby by the cattle grid and below Halton Heights Quarry. Go a short way back downhill, through the gate, and walk field side to you reach the boulders. Note - under no circumstances should the wall by the boulders be crossed. Do not drop pads off on the way by throwing them over the wall.
