A quality collection of closely packed, bullet-hard sandstone boulders for all climbing styles and difficulty. Predominantly south facing, sheltered and gets plenty of sun throughout the day. Suffers from condensation on overhangs during high-humidity spells.

Parking and Approach

Approach:    10-15 Minute Walk. 

Park as for Forestry England Thrunton Woods Car Park (///magpie.output.ghost).

Walk for 5 mins up the forestry road until you reach (///faded.airship.offstage); then walk up the bike trail into the forest. Please give way and watch out for bikes. After 15m up the trail (///issued.pupils.waltz), take a right turn off onto a smaller footpath which will lead to a large tree opening; keep going directly up the hill and rocks will come into view (///dark.travel.assurance).
