Following a successful meeting between the BMC and the landowner access for climbing to this site has been restored with immediate affect.
Access for climbing to this popular sports venue in North East Wales had been banned due to concerns from the shooting syndicate that leases the land from the landowner. However following a successful meeting and negotiations this morning between the BMC and the landowner, access has been restored.
It is imperative that climbers strictly adhere to the access agreement - no dogs allowed at any time, only approach the crag along the agreed access route, no climbing during night time or if approaching nighttime in order not to disturb the roosting pheasants, climbers do not enter or disturb the pheasant pens or structures and theer is no access at all from October 1st to Feb 1st.
The crag lies on enclosed private land and the little valley that contains the crag is used by a shooting syndicate who pay the landowner a fee for the use for the land and understandably he does no wish climbing activities to jeopardies his income.
Further information is on the BMC Regional Access Database.
