British Team Training Torture

Tom Randall- Senior Lead team manager- organised a special team training session with Nick Baker (ranked third in the world in the 3 metre sychronised springboard event)

Tom called on the services of Nick to provide a core conditioning session at Ponds Forge Leisure Centre in Sheffield. This gruelling session of mainly abdominal torture seemed surprisingly popular with the 15 members who took part.

In diving, core stability is an absolutely crucial component, along with flexibility. At the tender age of 20, Nick provided expert tips during the 2 hour session for the team to take away with them and incorporate into their training sessions.

Nick will be doing a follow up session in due course to see if the climbers have put his exersises to good use. We will report from the next session to let you know how they all got on and whether it has made a difference to their climbing.

The team would like to thank Nick Baker for the useful session.
