If you have an interest in hill walking, come along to our special area meeting with a hill walking focus at The Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding on Monday 24 April 2017, starting at 7.30pm.
Carey Davies, BMC Hill Walking Development Officer will be on hand to update us on the latest national hill walking activities.
Mark Allum, Head of Access and Engagement for the Yorkshire Dales National Park will be discussing;
Crowds – do we want them?
Tony Maskill-Rogan of Abbey Walks will be introducing us to the St. Bernard’s Way, a 1,573km / 977 mile brand new long distance walking route from Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire to Dijon in France, with possible extensions north to Melrose in Scotland and as well as even further south…
All are welcome. Food will be provided.
The venue is very convenient for the local railway station on the Leeds to Ilkley line.
