Clubs are a great way to meet like minded people, share lifts, and learn new skills in an informal atmosphere.
Current Features
Setting up and managing a club can throw up many questions. In order to help answer these questions the BMC has created some useful club guidelines. Clubs helped to create the BMC and are still very much a part of the organisation.
This Mountain Heritage Trust symposium explores why the Lake District has been such a spur to creative energy and thought over the past few centuries. Can the inspiration of landscape and heritage be sustained and how does it contribute to our wellbeing?
BMC affiliated Clubs can apply to the BMC for this year’s allocation of financial support to help clubs develop communications, buy equipment and provide instructor support to members.
The BMC is in the process of setting up a Clubs Committee to represent local and national clubs. The nomination process is underway, whilst the elections are imminent. The aim of the committee is to effectively represent the interests of clubs and their members.
At the BMC National Council meeting on 8th March 2008 a number of clubs, including Bremex MCC, had their affiliations to the BMC ratified. This article, written jointly by members of Bremex MCC, sets the background of the club and outlines what it is about.
