YCS 2019: Round 4 Start Times

We hope you’re all looking forward to the fourth round of the BMC Youth Climbing Series 2019 on Saturday 23 March. The format for the roped rounds is; four or five roped climbs (depending on your region), one attempt per climb, up to six minutes on each climb. Youth E and D will be top roping and youth C, B and A will be lead climbing. You can find the start times for your region below.

North East & Yorkshire

9am Registration

10am Climbing starts 

North West & Lakes

8.30am Registration opens

9.30am Registration closes

9.30am Group warm-up & volunteer briefings

Climbing times:

  • 10am to 11am Route 1
  • 11am to 12pm Route 2
  • 12pm to 1pm Route 3
  • 1pm to 2pm Route 4
  • 2pm to 3pm Route 5

3.30pm Results

3.45pm Presentation & finish


Registration opens at 9am
Competitor briefing at 9.30am
Judges briefing at 9.45am
Climbing starts 10am

Midlands & Peak

10am Wall opens
10am Registration
10.20am Judges briefing
10.40am Belayers briefing
11am Competitors, Parents, Coaches & Spectators briefing followed by competition start.

All participants and volunteers must be ready in time for their briefings.

London & SE (North)

All will start climbing at 10am except Youth E, Female C, and Female A who will start at 11am.

London & SE (South)

Registration will be open from 9.00am to 11-30am

Climbing start times:

10.00am for Category D and B
11.00am for Category E
12.00pm for Category C and A

Volunteers and climbers briefings will take place before each category starts.
